MDSM 114 - An Amazing Ride!

Hello everyone! It's Cindy here. Life has been super crazy and this roller coaster called life continues. I wanted to share a page that I made two years ago that changed my creative life. I made a similar page for the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Application. I knew that My Digital Studio HAD to be part of my application and this page is probably the one I am most proud of. So I made a sketch layout of it for you. Use it as you like. Add more to it. Change the background or use a different stamp as the focal point. Make photo boxes with mat. Just have fun creating in MDS! The end is near and I find myself sad and yet thankful for this amazing ride with MDS after all these years. Thank you Stampin' UP for making a great digital program!

Challenge Guidelines:

  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the challenge graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your post or mydigitalstudio.net sample page for this challenge, not your entire website (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D object with the sketch.
  • The Challenge will end on Saturday May 23rd @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

Weekly Winners MDSM113

A big thank you to everyone for participating in our challenge this week!  I loved to see all the different ways we came up with to add some visual interest to our pages and it really helps me see all the different options we have in our stamps and embellishments!  I really enjoyed seeing everyone's take on the sketch and challenge!  I hope you were all inspired by each other as well!

 Here are this week's picks:

Tanya Harvey
Tanya's Stamps & Things
I really love the wonderful family photos on Tanya's page and how they are really made special on her page.  The colors are soft and pretty and the background is just lovely, the scattering of flowers in the corner are a fine touch.

Wendie Waldman

I really like the starburst image behind the photos on Wendie's page.  It really draws the eye to the photos and adds some fun visual interest to the whole page!

Thanks to everyone who participated!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our new challenge!

MDSM 113 - Visual Interest

Hello Everyone!  Beth here with this week's sketch.  Today I would like you to think of something you can add to your page to add some visual interest, but do not use splatter.  I love splatter, but I think I forget about the other stamps that I have that could also create that visual interest.  I challenge you to find stamps that you don't normally use, such as the triangles I used in my page.  Look for things such as mini flowers, small shapes, hearts, raindrops, or any small scattering of stamps.  I can't wait to see what you find!  Hopefully we will find lots of different things so we can all get some great ideas!

Weekly Winners MDSM112

Hello!  I want to give a big thank you to all of you who played along with my challenge this week!  We're nearing the end here (sniff sniff), and I was super happy to check out so many wonderful layouts!  You guys seriously make it so hard to choose winners, but choose I must, so without further ado...

 ...here are this week's picks:

Cori Kozak

Today being Mother's Day made Cori's photo of her and her mom extra special to me.  My mom lives across the country, so I know these moments together are so precious!  The colours of DSP and embellishments in this download she used are soft and pretty and complement her photo perfectly!  Congrats Cori!

Wendie Waldman
Let's Go Play - MDSM112

I loved that Wendie used a picture of her "home on wheels"!  What a fun idea!  Camping is near and dear to me, and something we do very often as a family, so it really spoke to me!  I especially loved the cards that Wendie used for her layout, along with that map and the grunge stamp in the background!  It looks like a tire track!  Cool!  Congrats Wendie!

Thanks to everyone who participated!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our new challenge!

MDSM 112 - One Special Picture

Hello and welcome to another MDS Monday!  It's Anita, and it's my turn to host the challenge this week.  I want you to keep your layout simple and focus on one special picture.  For the other blocks, feel free to use some Designer Series Paper or cardstock or even some Project Life cards!  I can't seem to get enough of layouts made with PL (hilariously enough, I ended up not using PL cards for this, but made up my own!)... here's the sketch for this week!

  • The Challenge will end on Saturday May 9th @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

MDSM 111 - Cute & Done!

Hi everyone, it's Jeanna here with this week's MDS Monday sketch challenge for you!  I chose a fun, simple, versatile sketch this week.  I know sometimes I go a little overboard in MDS, but lately life has been crazy busy - so right now, I just need cute and DONE!  To make this page go even faster, use one of your fave Project Life by Stampin' Up! downloads. The 3"x4" cards are the perfect size for this border
