MDSM83

Hello! Cindy here and back with a simple layout for a scrap page or a card with a little learning lesson for you! You need to use the Freeform Tool to create the lines around the photo boxes and then add text to them.

Need help? Go to these videos link to learn how to do it:
Video 1    Video 2
(For a card, use one photo box and text on a path with the title.)

I kept it simple so that you can let your creativity flow on this challenge!

Challenge Guidelines:
  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the Challenge Graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your Post for this challenge, not your entire blog. (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a Card, Scrap Page or 3-D Object with the Sketch.
  • The Challenge will end on Saturday Sept. 27th @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!
We can't wait to see what you create... Check out our Design Team's projects below for some great Inspiration!

Tara's Picks for MDSM#82

Thank you for all who played along with our white-on-white (or ivory.. or pop of colour!). Such gorgeous pages this week.

Time to check out this week's top picks, as chosen by Tara.

I love Wendie's grunge-y background and the great frame she has around her photo. The circle with the sentiment looks great over the cup rings in the background. Lovely, soft page!

Tanya's page with all the pink accents makes me so happy! I love the recoloured burlap and the little flower in the centre. Great sister page!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for a brand new challenge!

MDSM82 Tara's keeping it clean!

Hello all, and welcome to a new week at MDS Monday! Tara here hosting this week, and I've kept the sketch quite simple... but there's a catch if you're up for it - I'd love to see white/vanilla/ivory as your main colours, but a 'pop' or two of 1 other colour.  Sometimes it's hard to see a white embellishment on a white background, but you can add a little drop shadow or border to make it stand out a bit.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

20th @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

I would like to thank everyone for playing with us this week. It is always fun to see everyone's different takes on the sketch and I love seeing all the papers and colors people choose!

Tanya Harvey ~ Tanya's Stamps & Things

I really liked Tanya's page celebrating some quality time with her sweetie.  The colors are soft and pretty and let the photos show of those happy smiles.

Sharon Maranich ~ Sharon's Inkie Fingers

Sharon created some really fun subway art for her background to really show her love of the game!

MDSM80 Project Life goes Digital!

Welcome back to MDS Monday.. we are saying Hello to two new Design Team members this week! Please give a warm welcome to Jeanna Bohanon & Anita Krul  , be sure to stop by their blogs and check out their amazing work. We are looking forward to having them on our team... now let's see what Heidi has for us this week!

Hi Everyone!  It's Heidi.  Several weeks back, Beth introduced us to Project Life digital page layouts.  I had so much fun with my page, not to mention that I got it completed really quickly, I thought it would be fun to revisit PL again.  I just grabbed a fun layout from the photo pocket pages in the catalog.

If your larger photos/elements are horizontal, feel free to rotate the layout 90 degrees.  One hint that helped me last time was to find a digital kit that worked well with the photos and stick with it.  That way the colors and styles worked together seamlessly.

In terms of kits, don't forget about the Pocket Card downloads, in addition to Project Life-specific downloads.  Or create your own pocket elements.  Have fun, and I can't wait to see what you create!

  • The Challenge will end on Saturday Sept.6th @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

We're are also welcoming a new guest Designer each month through February... This month's Guest Designer is Suzanne Johnson! Check out everyone's projects below for some great inspiration.. We can't wait to see what you create with this great sketch!
